Ya know what, looking at my SAT/ACT scores, I say fuck college. What’s the point anyway? Waste a few thousand dollars that my dad worked so hard to earn just to get there and fuck everything up like usual? I’m not going to be a fuck up that disappoints his parents. I’m going to actually get off my ass and do something. I’m gonna live life the way I want to live it and not the way other people want me to. I’m not cut out for a four-year college and I’m fine with that, I’ll just take my Associates Degree and see where that leads me. Hell if Steve Jobs could blow off college, who is to say I can’t. I mean yeah, I’d love to go to a film school and study the hell out of it but I’m not going to waste my dad’s money on a piece of paper that says “hey, he spent thousands of dollars on his knowledge instead of reading books and studying independently.” Because in the grand scheme of things that’s all a degree really is: a piece of paper you bought justifying your knowledge in a particular subject. Why stress out about it?
